We support a network of grassroots projects that restore forests and strengthen communities through ethical, locally led solutions. These initiatives respond to the urgent threats of deforestation, biodiversity loss and climate breakdown, while centring women’s leadership and long-term community care.

Our partners are creating sustainable livelihoods, defending land rights, improving health and education, and returning decision-making power to the people who know their land best. Together, we’re not only planting trees, but growing thriving, protected forests that can stand for generations.

UPLIFT & EMPOWER WOMEN & COMMUNITY

We fund projects that are grassroots and ethically protect and increase green cover. We don't only plant trees but seek to rebalance power dynamics and respect the knowledge of those living in these lands.

COMMUNITY BASED RESTORATION PROJECTS

Community-led design and implementation of restoration, including outcome and success measures, will have longer-term and sustainable benefits for the forests and the people who live there.

Through a collaborative monitoring and evaluating process, we honour the integrity of our donors and the project communities fostering a partnership of restoration and upholding ethical values to provide impactful reporting.

Our vision is to bring projects and communities together and create spaces for projects to listen, learn and mutually support one another in order to inspire and strengthen biocultural restoration initiatives.

TreeSisters cannot do this alone. We work with carefully selected planting partners best positioned to understand the needs of the trees and their communities. Donating to us contributes to a carefully and well-vetted project portfolio that supports planting across the globe. Each project contribution is of equal value and makes up the whole and works with local and Indigenous communities to support their needs.
