Lorraine has worked in sustainable international development and conservation for over 20 years, working up to CEO level. She has broad experience across the income generation spectrum and is a strong advocate for sustainable funding using innovative fundraising techniques. Lorraine’s early career was in educational publishing, largely based in Ethiopia and Malawi, where she developed a particular interest in the interrelationship between forest restoration and gender equity. She has a Masters degree from Imperial College London in Biodiversity Conservation, a Masters in European Studies from the London School of Economics and a BA (Hons) in Business and Marketing.

I have been fortunate to see some spectacular landscapes, wilderness and wildlife worldwide, which has left me with incredible memories and a deep connection to the earth. At home, I love walking, ‘wild’ swimming, listening to the dawn chorus… and trying very hard to grow vegetables!
