Making This Yours
If you think about it, you are as likely to have a winning idea, as we are. You will certainly have different experience, different wisdom and different gifts, all of which could have profound relevance when trying to reach out and engage women of every kind. Your particular creativity will resonate with a particular type of person. Your stories may touch many more people that you might imagine.
Yes, we do live in a world of information overload and so it is easy to convince ourselves that no one will read what we produce, but it’s not just for others that we write. It is also for ourselves. When we write, we can sometimes allow for a deeper honesty, and that honesty tends to go deep, when read. What will tend to break through the technological haze we exist in, is something that speaks directly to our hearts, that connects us to our feelings, to what matters and to who we really are. If something moves you, it will likely move others.

Our role is to find ways of creating campaign content and experiences that move us all into a deeper relationship with what really matters and with ourselves so that we can in some small way, rise to the challenge and co-create something that makes a difference. Our hope is that we can do this with your help, and the help of many women who will share their ideas and experience with us and help us craft something truly beautiful.
So what does personal involvement look like? Ideally it looks like something that lights you up, and brings you into deeper connection with your creativity, courage, wisdom and love. Our August update offered multiple avenues of involvement, but it is not limited to that. If you have ideas that sit within the structure created by the map of 5 choices, then we really want to hear from you and invite you to get in touch through our facebook page.
In short, the choices ask:
1. What could help women get real about climate change and the role that they could take in bringing about a more appropriate response?
2. What could encourage women to come together to explore this cause, spread the word and build the network?
3. What activities really help women nourish themselves, get more connected to their bodies, to the natural world and to other women as a pre-requisite for taking action?
4. What activities/actions make a difference in the shift towards caretaking the planet, and how do we make them accessible?
5. How best can we inspire women to offer their gifts, to step up and share their ideas, to take leadership around something close to their hearts?
All of our jobs is to discover answers to these questions!
TreeSisters is about women supporting women. It is about believing in ourselves, recognizing and stepping beyond our fears to do something for ourselves, each other and the natural world. If this inspires you in any way, then get in touch and get involved. It will become clear what speaks to you, and how you might feel drawn to play. If this has any hope of flying, then it will have to belong to us all, give us all a voice, celebrate and support us, and bring us together.
We will keep initiating and inviting, but your involvement is vital if our shared creativity is going to craft this campaign. Please, read the site, watch the films and see what moves inside you. Whether it is a poem, an urge to send this out to others, an idea that you have sat on for ages, something to blog about, a contact that you think might help, a project that could help other women, a story that needs to be shared, or money you want to give, please…come join us, and let’s build this together.
